Good evening school community,

11/3/21

The first nine weeks of school have flown by as students and teachers are engaged and working hard!

As our COVID precautions continue, we are keeping you updated on any new cases. As of Wednesday, November 3rd the district had two reported positive cases. Through contact tracing, Union City Administration identified any students who were exposed according to the guidelines of the CDC, and parents have been notified for those students.

Every measure is being taken to isolate and contain the potential spread of the virus according to the most current guidelines from the CDC and health officials. Union City Schools reminds everyone to continue to follow the appropriate guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Face masks are encouraged but not required for any student or staff who may have a concern regarding exposure

  • Practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of 6 feet between yourself and others

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

  • Self-monitor for symptoms prior to reporting to school

UC District administration will continue to monitor health situations as they arise and will take appropriate steps as necessary. The safety and health of our staff and students continue to be the top priority! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Union City Public Schools Administration.

 Thank you,

Dr. Becky Slothower

Superintendent
