Union City Owens Memorial Run and Charity Event information:
UC Student Council is eager to walk along with our police department to host a charity run in honor of fallen UC Officer:Brandon Owens. Monies raised will go to UC Shop with a Cop outreach!
Our event date will be Saturday, April 20th - first race will begin at 2pm.
We are excited to bring in Oklahoma Race Company - who will provide electronic chip timing, course management, registration services, start/finish, and race director services. It will feel like any major road race in the metro area.
Additionally, this year we will offer a 1 mile family fun run/walk, 5k, and 10k "the country mile" - races.
StuCo is working closely with and seeking involvement with our student organizations, and faculty groups - to create a Spring Festival Event that will provide atmosphere and fundraising opportunities for the rest of our community. Please reach out, if you want to be a part of this event!
I am personally grateful to Chief Taylor and UCPD for sharing their event, all with their investment in our school district.
Get your running shoes on!!
Kind Regards,
Mr. J
