Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members,
We are proud to congratulate our boys' basketball team on advancing to the area tournament. Their hard work has earned them the opportunity to compete this Friday, and we are excited to support them as they continue their postseason run.
To ensure our student-athletes can fully participate in both events, we will reschedule the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony originally planned for 11:00 am. The ceremony will now take place at 9:30 am on Friday.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work to celebrate all of our students' achievements, both academic and athletic. We look forward to honoring our new inductees and cheering on our basketball team in the area tournament. Thank you for your continued support of our school and students.

In preparation for our boys and girls bringing home WINS today we are actively working on plans to take a pep bus tomorrow (grades 7-12 only) to support them. Many of the students may have been involved in the preliminary decisions about doing so today but many barriers conflicted with today's schedule. We have fewer barriers and other activities going on tomorrow so want to offer this opportunity to our families for tomorrow. Times will not be determined until after today's games are over. I will post the specifics as soon as I have them. However to get in the bus we will need a signed permission slip from parents and guardians. To make this easier on families we will send and offer them in a variety of ways. (1) I will leave a stack in the elementary vestibule that you can sign and leave there (2) we will have copies available when students are dropped off at bus (3) I will post a copy of it when I post the specific times that you can print and send with your child and (4) I will send out an email to all parents that you can fill out and send back to me or print sign and send with your child. Spaces are limited so it would be excessively helpful if you could drop student names in comments if you already know they would potentially be going so we can plan accordingly for drivers busses etc. Students will also need to bring $10 for entry fee and any concession money they may need as well as money to eat on as it could be a long day. Please drop those names asap so I can accommodate as many as possible Let's go show our TIGER love to our teams! 💙🐯💪 EDIT:Both teams won. Pep bus will leave from bus barn at 10:45 following directly behind activity bus as it goes by. Please respond by 10:00 PM TONIGHT via email, text or drop a comment here so I can see if we have enough interest! Let's go Tigers!

It's time for more Senior Spotlights!! This time we have Jacob Wilson and Jaymie Hillman!

I received a message this morning from the host site (Varnum Admin) from last nights games. They said that the UNION CITY fanbase was top notch and class act. They also wanted to thank us for picking up the trash after the games. They also complimented both teams and the amazing coaches for hard fought games. It is always great to hear from other school districts Admin bragging on our very own kids and fans! We got a lotta fight left in us....come out and support the Tiger basketball teams Friday at 1pm ( girls) and 2:30 (boys) back again at Varnum. Opponents will be determined Thursday night. Tiger Pride !

Spring Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2026.
This event is for PREK- 4TH GRADE students ONLY.
On this day, students will have:

Individual portraits
Class group photos (taken the same day)

Per Lifetouch's updated policy, no late orders will be accepted after this date. Any orders not submitted by February 19th must be placed online afterward.

Last HOME basketball games of the season are TONIGHT ! Come out & support our UNION CITY BASKETBALL Girls & Boys teams. It's PLAYOFF BASKETBALL time !!! Admission is $10 per person.....all ages (per OSSAA) Season passes are no longer valid. Doors open at 5:15pm and the Girls game is scheduled for 6pm tip-off. Boys will roughly be 7:30pm. Get LOUD & PROUD.....but be a "respectful" fan and supporter. Thank you & let's fill up our HOME side of the gym. Bring your appetite also....concession will have great food available.
