Professional Learning # 2 was spent with the K20 OETT Grant trainer. Later this week we will highlight our teachers learning how to integrate technology instructional strategies for students #shark-tank demo for student critical thinking.

We had a great first day of professional learning. Thank you PTO for breakfast treats, and to the 1st Methodist Church for a yummy lunch. Celebrating Mrs. Griggs’s special birthday was a bonus!
This a quick reminder for enrollment today for grades 5-8 in the Tiger’s Den. School supplies will be available for $35.
Tomorrow is meet the teachers at 5:30 in the cafeteria area. We will enjoy watermelons before Prek-8 parent orientation begins at 6:30.

Reminder UC JH/HS School athletics physicals are tomorrow night @ 6 PM at the HS.
At 7 PM there will be a softball parents meeting at the new gym with the softball coaches.

Many patrons ask-how does the UC administrative team fill their days while students are on summer break? Multiple required state reports, crafting a master schedule with enrollment options, hiring, facility evaluation for repair just to name a few tasks on the list!
Mrs. Griggs, Mr. Harris and Dr. S will all be attending conferences to keep current with the latest updates on budgets/funding, instructional effectiveness, and upcoming grant opportunities to enhance learning for students. First up, Dr. Slothower attended the CCOSA Courageous Leadership Conference in OKC. Check back next week to see where you can spot Mrs. Griggs!

Summer Academic Camps are underway- great fun today! Please remember drop off is 8:30 for am and pickup is at 4:00 for pm.
Our softball team not only shined on the field but also in the classroom with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and above. 🥎🏆
JH baseball is playing today in Mountain-View at 5:30pm, bus is leaving from the bus barn at 3:45pm.
Happy Last Day of School! As the staff celebrates together for the last day, we wanted to share there will be two food trucks located in front of the cafeteria from 11:00-2:00 pm. The teachers will be eating from 12:45-1:15 to celebrate the District Teacher of the Year!

Scholarship Opportunity: Our Visionary Scholarship is a bi-annual award. There are five (5) awards given with each bi-annual deadline - with a total of ten (10) college scholarships awarded for each school year. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500 each.
Next bi-annual award deadline: June 1, 2023
