✈️SPEEDFEST 2023🏆 This was our 2nd year for Union City students to compete, but with 2 teams, Purple Cobras and the Green Gummy Bears. Both teams started off with a few kinks Friday night to pass inspection, but were ready to fly Saturday morning. Purple Cobras finished overall with 3rd place out of 33 teams. The Gummy Bear plane went down in the 1st round destroying the body. They team persevered and set to work on building an entire new body, rewiring to each moving part, and changing out various other broken parts on the wings. The pieced-out plane took off one time, but flew straight up before nose diving hard and bouncing the wings off the ground nowhere to be found.
