The students and staff at Union City Public School will have our Annual Veterans Day Celebration. 1 pm Friday November 11th @ the Tiger Arena. We invite all Armed Service Members, active duty, reserve, Guard, and retired, who are a part of our Union City family to participate.

Tonight our high school basketball teams kick off their season at home vs Verden.
JV boys will play first at 5:15.
At 6:30 the HS girls will play followed by the boys!

The high school Boys and Girls basketball teams will be having their First Annual Halloween costume scrimmage tomorrow night (Monday, Oct. 31) from 7:30-8:30pm! Come out and see the teams have some fun before the real action starts this week! There will be Trick-or-Treat candy at the door for anyone who joins us, and absolutely NO COST to get in! We hope to see everyone there!

Quick reminder- Annual Spaghetti Dinner at the new gym this year. Doors open at 6:00 pm and tickets are available upon entry. What a way to spend Saturday night supporting UC athletics!
Red Ribbon Week Days! Oct. 24th-28th
Each student that dresses up will get a prize each day. We will be coming around to take pictures for the yearbook during the day also.
Also Elementary will have a coloring contest. The best coloring will win a prize. The theme this year is Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free.™
In High School and Middle School, we will have a door decorating contest, and the best class (Homeroom MS or Leadership HS) will win a donut or ice cream party, it will be their choice.
We will do a costume parade on Friday.

The 7th and 8th-grade girls attended the "Women in Science Conference" held at Science Museum Oklahoma on October 4.
They were immersed in a hands-on science fair (feeding honey bees, building rockets, mining for rocks and minerals, making lip gloss and slime, viewing an actual human brain, lungs, and heart, coding, robotics, etc...) Many of the activities in the Science fair were put on by various Oklahoma colleges and Universities highlighting their different Science departments and what they do.
The UC girls also completed an engineering challenge... building the tallest structure that would hold the weight of the brick with limited supplies.
