The 7th and 8th-grade girls attended the "Women in Science Conference" held at Science Museum Oklahoma on October 4.
They were immersed in a hands-on science fair (feeding honey bees, building rockets, mining for rocks and minerals, making lip gloss and slime, viewing an actual human brain, lungs, and heart, coding, robotics, etc...) Many of the activities in the Science fair were put on by various Oklahoma colleges and Universities highlighting their different Science departments and what they do.
The UC girls also completed an engineering challenge... building the tallest structure that would hold the weight of the brick with limited supplies.

1st grade spent last week learning about maps then went outside and made a map of the playground. 🗺️
