🌟More exciting NEWS🌟
One of our soon to be 6th graders ,Kennedy Kornmeyer, was nominated by her teacher and spent the last week in Denton at Texas Women's University. Kennedy attended the National Youth Leadership Forum-Pathways to STEM. During the week a beef heart was dissected, blood spatter analyzed, an amusement ride created, a robot was created and programed, Leadership classes taken, lungs were made, and a first aid class that taught splinting, making a sling to stabilize a broken arm, and wrapping wounds. It was a busy week of learning. We are so proud of you Kennedy!

🌟 Exciting News 🌟 Two of our bright soon-to-be 8th grade girls, Maddie Lausser and Kati Dempsey, embarked on an incredible journey at the SAGE STEAM TO THE FUTURE science camp this week! The camp, hosted by SWOSU College in Weatherford, Oklahoma, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where students get to stay in college dorms and dive deep into the world of science and technology. Each participant had to be nominated by school staff, maintain good grades, and have a strong interest in STEM. The selection process is rigorous, involving applications and interviews, and only a select few are chosen from across Oklahoma. So, it's a tremendous honor for Maddie and Kati to be part of this! A few of the things they experienced: • Eating etiquette • Studied invertebrates they found at a pond • Drew scenery around them and self portraits • Visited the Stafford Air & Space Museum • 3D printed • Programmed a robot • stargazing • filled candy prescriptions in the pharmacy school & made anti itch cream • music therapy • made homemade butter • created apps and video storytelling • chemistry experiments • Met with professional women from all sorts of STEAM fields We’re incredibly proud of Maddie and Kati.
